The prize aims to reward outstanding work by doctoral researchers in ethics and political philosophy and to highlight contributions of particular philosophical merit.

PRIZE

Applicants must be affiliated with institutions outside CEPS (Centre for Ethics, Politics and Society), the organising research centre of the Braga Meetings, in order to ensure the independence of the selection process.
APPLICATION
PROCEDURE

Participation in the Conference Prize involves two separate steps.
First, applicants must submit an abstract to the general Call for Abstracts for the Braga Meetings. Abstracts must be submitted via the designated online form by 15 February. Only papers accepted for presentation at the conference are eligible for the prize.
Second, authors whose abstracts have been accepted may apply for the Conference Prize by submitting an early article via a separate prize application form, by 15 May.
EVALUATION
PROCESS

All submissions will be evaluated by an independent committee within CEPS, composed of members not involved in the organisation of the conference. The committee will consist of three members, including senior scholars. The prize will be awarded to the article selected by the committee as the best submission.
TIMELINE

The deadline for abstract submission is 15 February.
The deadline for Conference Prize applications is 15 May.
The evaluation period will run from 15 May to 15 July.
